Connie was another African Grey we Rescued at the weekend from a good friend of ours who brought her to get her out of the nightmare she was living in! She was stuck in the corner of a filthy room with a blanket over the cage on a crap diet which seemed to consist of just monkey nuts and little or no interaction with any body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so he paid to get her out of there and then passed her on to me to find her a loving forever home.
After all she has been through she is quite gentle considering, she likes her head being tickled and being spoken too.
As it was such a nice day yesterday i thought i would pop Connie into a travel cage as well as some of the other rescues to give them some sun on there backs and wind on there feathers. So they were dotted around the garden sunning themselves.
Here is Connie!
God love her!!! Who could be so bloody cruel. I hope Connie finds a loving home to live out her life.
i love these birds she looks just like mine how can ppl be mean to them
Poor Coonie. I’m sure with a bit of love and attention she will be fine. We have an African Grey called Harvey who was my little baby until my little boy was born. We still let him out everynight but he no longer goes on all the outings he used 2 as its so difficult. Once my little boy is steadier on his feet we may begin to take him again. Just worries you as they say thay after a certain age if an African Grey is going to have problems it will appear and continue from there
how can i give this great bird a home lookin for a bird like this after i give mine to my mum as she got no one now her husband died thanks (07974403161) i am from crewe in cheshire.
How can people be so cruel?.bless her heart she enjoying those rays!! I can’t understand people who treat animals and birds in this way, why???
Let’s hope she finds a loving forever home which she so deserves, bless her.
Poor Connie what a traumatic experience she’s been through. Thank god your friend found her and was able to remove her from that terrible home. Good luck with finding her a forever home.
omg how can anyone let a animal get into such a state. They should be reported and never be allowed to keep animals.
