Can’t believe that on Sunday(Bank holiday weekend) we have had Kato in our family for eight weeks! We are still taking things slowly well I am, husband doesn’t stand a chance sorry to say. Kato will take food from me and when I ask for tickles he will put his head down but I still need to count my fingers, Kato is saying a lot more but he and Thabo have not gelled as yet.

Mr Kato Update
May 16th, 2012Kato has been with us for 1 month now, he has a really good appetite and would eat everything in sight if I would let him.
He only steps up if he has chosen to come out of the cage so I take the opportunity to give him a soak in the shower.
He lets me know when it’s bedtime and wants to be covered, he also lets me know when he has had enough of his supper (veggies) and wants his pellets back.
It’s a slow drive up the hill but I know we will reach the top soon. I love him to bits and am so happy we have him with us.
Kato’s Story
April 28th, 2012Kato came into our family just 3 weeks ago 8th April 2012 to be exact, he joined my 1 yr old CAG Thabo who we have had from 12 weeks old, Julie and Stevie travelled down to bring us Kato I think it was about a 3.5 hour drive so big thanks to them. I am the main parront and thought it was going to be an easy job taking a rehome but my hat goes off to all the foster parronts here, Kato and I are having a few problems connecting I have new bites and had a few bloody ones too ouch!.
But steps are being made when I leave for work he shouts to me, when I take his cover off on the morning he speaks to me he will take food from my hand but I don’t forget that I have to do things his way and at the minute it is going slowly, but I am patient and hopefully the next time I write about him there will be more good news.
Kato Moves To His New Forever Home.
April 12th, 2012On Sunday 8th April 2012 we took Kato to his new forever home, he’s gone to live with Mary and Russell.
His new cage/home was up and ready for him and it was filled with lots of new toys.
Kato Stepped up to both Mary and Russell straight away and seemed very happy to sit with them getting head tickles.
Mary and Russell also have another CAG named Thabo, both Thabo and Kato were happy to sit near each other while they were on Russell’s hands, they both just looked at each other, but they were very relaxed, so I think they will be great friends and company for each other.
We wish both Mary and Russell a happy time with Kato and look forward to them sharing his life with us on here.
Mary will be now continuing Kato’s blog.

Another rescue, Meet Kato
March 31st, 2012Kato arrived on 26/03/12, he’s gorgeous and so far friendly (with me, he did bite Stevie )
He’s 10 years old and will be 11 in June, he talks none stop and actually looks like one of my birdies, but bigger.
It was a very sad move for him and his owners, as they’ve had him from 12-13 weeks old and love him dearly, he’s showered daily and is covered at night.
He was on a seed diet but has now been fully converted to AZ pellets.
He’s had to be re homed due to personal reasons.
There were lots and lots of tears and at one point I thought they were going to change their mind, it broke mine and Stevie’s hearts listening to their very sad story and seeing how much Kato is loved.
He has now settled very well and goes to either me or Stevie.
Who ever gets to adopt him will be very happy as he’s a wonderful birdie and a joy to have in our home.
Julie
